Odd Spot

Wonderfully, I am starting to do a few more 'normal' things again. On the weekend I even did a little bit of slow, careful gardening- great therapy for my hand the physio tells me. In the process of getting some compost out of the compost heap, I discovered why I always seemed to need to buy new vege peelers......

  1. Lol, and I bet they are too rusted to use.

  2. The scary bit is that I haven't even tried the second compost pile.... who knows how many more rusted peelers I have lost??!

  3. Have you found any of ours?

How about a trade me listing - I'm sure there is an angle in this story to promote a bidding frenzy!

  7. LOL
    Love it, Kiwi!
Tie a long length of twine to the handle of your current one, it might stick out and remind you where it's disappeared to before you turf the peelings ;)

  8. Kiwi - you've elevated the humble vegetable peeler to a photographic, almost sculptural work of art!

  9. And on a more mundane level Robert, it is a statistical study of which colours of peelers are more likely to be ditched with the peelings!

  10. I am very careful with my vegetable peeler because it is really hard to find one that a lefty can use easily! That picture is priceless!

  11. I just use 'cheapies' that are easily bought at the supermarket for a right-hander. Obviously, their colours are designed to tone in with the carrot and pumpkin peelings...

  12. Peeling a pumpkin?! Those cheapies must be pretty sturdy.

  13. OH true lol. I guess the peeler was used for something else eg potatoes but the peelings end up in one heap!
